These are small quilts of my own design in which the size is based on the novelty print used or where the quilt will be hung. I started making Patchbox Quilts over twenty years ago as a way to use some of the many novelty or large prints which were accumulating in my stash for way too long. I call these quilts Patchbox Quilts because the they are made mostly with large squares and or rectangles and very simple piecing and quilting is involved. Sometimes once the Patchbox Quilt is finished, embellishments are added. They’re not mini quilts and maybe art quilt wannabees . These quilts are great for hanging in small spaces, office cubicles or to give as gifts.
